Our History on the Salish Seas
Since 1976, San Juan Ferry & Barge has been providing charter landing craft freight service throughout Washington State's beautiful
San Juan Islands.
In 2003 the M/V Henry Island was built in La Conner, WA, and put into service, joining the M/V Nordland in offering our customers a variety of cost effective solutions for transporting freight throughout the Islands.
The M/V Nordland sailed its final voyage in 2007 and was retired after many years of faithful service. In it's place, the M/V Nordland II began service alongside the M/V Henry Island in January 2018.
As of 2022, The M/V Henry Island and Nordland II have both been repositioned to Cap Sante Marina at the Port of Anacortes full-time. This allows our customers the option of barge service from Anacortes directly to the San Juan Islands and outer Islands in Whatcom County (Port Bellingham).
